I'm still around and working on my winter Artist Trading Cards. 20 of 50 are complete not including the few I've already given away. I'll have pictures up soon.
You might ask, what have I been doing? Well, autumn is always full of self-inflicted craziness and this year is no different. The biggest change is that I started skating with the Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls. I'm still not exactly sure why I felt the need to join a roller derby team without knowing how to skate. So, yeah. It's been a long couple of months- but I'm happy to say I'm improving enough that now when I come home I might stay awake long enough to work art back into my schedule. I've also started running, well
slowly jogging for 20 min at a time. The exercise increase is due impart to the death of my 11 year old dog Kodi. It had been 2 years or so since he and I had taken a good walk because his arthritis was so bad. He will be missed but I'm happy to say that he's much more comfortable now and I'm trying to make up for the last couple years of stagnation. But I said craziness right, so I can't forget that the kids have started soccer, I painted my living room, family came for a visit, took a bus trip to Iowa for a wedding, and made Halloween costumes (Dr Who, Spiderman, and I was Velma). It feels like I'm missing something but its all just a list of excuses anyway. More art to be posted soon and I'm thinking about doing the one painting per night again starting January
we'll see how long I can make it last in 2012.
